Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw peanuts
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • ½ tablespoon Shaoxing wine
  • a pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Rinse the raw peanuts in cold water and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel to remove any excess dirt. This step is optional but can help with even roasting.
  • In a wide mixing bowl, toss the peanuts with olive oil to ensure they are coated evenly. This is where you can control the use of a little oil.
  • Sprinkle a pinch of salt to taste.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F. Place the seasoned peanuts in a single layer in the air fryer basket. For best results, don't overcrowd the basket; if necessary, cook in batches.
  • Set the cooking time to about 10 minutes, but check the progress at the 6-minute mark. Shake or stir the peanuts in the basket to ensure even roasting. Adjust the cooking time to your air fryer model's capacity and performance. The peanuts are ready when they turn a delightful golden brown.
  • Drizzle the Shaoxing wine over the cooked peanut, and then you will hear a quick sizzling sound! That is OK!
  • Serve and enjoy!
