Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 1 Bosc pear dark brown color
  • 1 Bartlett pear yellow-greenish color
  • 5 fresh ginger slices
  • 1 teaspoon honey to taste
  • 1 teaspoon goji berry

Instructions

  • To make ginger pear tea, first gather the ingredients. Peel and slice ginger root into thin pieces. Cut a ripe pear into small chunks, removing seeds and core.
  • Bring a pot of water to a gentle boil. Add the ginger and pear pieces to the boiling water.
  • Let them simmer for 10 minutes in low heat to infuse the water with ginger and pear flavor. You can simmer for extra time if you want a thicker texture. It is totally up to you.
  • Strain the tea if you want (I did not) and serve it hot or let it cool for an iced version.
  • Add a teaspoon of honey or a squeeze of lemon/lime for an extra oomph of flavor! You can also leave some fresh pear slices in the glasses to look and taste great.
  • Serve and enjoy your delicious ginger pear tea!
